This couple who got engaged at Ed Sheeran's gig need your help

The couple are seeking photos of their big moment.

OVER THE WEEKEND, Ed Sheeran kicked off his four-night run at the 3Arena.

By all accounts, it was pretty good/life-changing.

For one couple in particular, though, it was pretty memorable.

On Friday night, Owen Byrne proposed to his girlfriend Vickileigh Lawlor as Ed Sheeran performed Give Me Love onstage, much to the excitement of fellow punters. As Byrne told Beat 102-103:

You’d swear Jesus had risen or something, ’cause I mean the whole place just went mental.

Byrne was even wearing his “good pants”.

I was wearing me good pants and all. They were kind of a crossbreed between the chinos and the combats.

It almost didn’t go to plan, however. Vickileigh Lawlor told Beat 102-103 this morning that her beau was frisked on the way in to the arena by security.

On the way in, one of the bouncer people was frisking him. And I was laughing at him ’cause he had a big puffy jacket on and I was like, ‘”You feckin’ eejit, you.”
Afterwards he said to me, “No, it was because the ring was in my pocket and I was trying to tell him, ‘Don’t take it out.’”

So that’s all well and good then. Except for the fact that the newly-engaged couple neglected to take photos.

D’oh.

Over the weekend, they put out a request via Beat 102-103 for any photos of the special moment that may have been taken by onlookers. So far, the search has yielded these two photos.

Aww. Anybody else who may have snapped a photo of the happy pair is encouraged to pass them on to Beat 102-103 via Facebook.

Note to self: remember to bring a camera for impromptu wedding proposals.
